I’ve been there. You love using your Wescott Rapid box and speedlight, but now it’s time to kick it up a notch. You order one of those AD200’s everyone’s been freaking out over and just finish unpacking it. Now the realization that there’s no default way to mount it hits you - <insert profanity here!>
Today I’m going to share with you a quick fix that lasted me a 40 wedding season and beyond! Chances are, you have a lot of this stuff lying around your home or studio already. Don’t worry all my fellow MagMod fans, this works for you too!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Remove the RapidBox’s cold shoe
Step 2: Attach the stud adapter to the mounting bracket
Step 3: Mount S-Type bracket onto the stud adapter
Step 4: Estimate rapid box height based on bracket location
Step 5: Mount AD200 and start shooting!
Thanks for taking the time to read this article! You’re now ready to enjoy the amazing combination of the AD200 and Rapid Box!
